RECORDS DIVISION

The Records Division is responsible for maintaining all records and reports associated with the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office. Office staff works Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays. Records clerks are also responsible for the tracking of warrants, civil process papers, criminal, traffic, civil citations and warnings issued by members of the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office.

POLICE REPORT REQUESTS
& PIA REQUESTS

To obtain a record, interested persons are first required to file a written records request; a fee of $5 or more shall be charged for reports requested. Additional fees will be collected for entire case files, photographs and video associated with case files.

Incident Report Fees:

  • 1-5 pages: $5.00 ($0.50 per page for additional pages over 5), per report
  • Body Camera or DVDs/CDs: $25.00 per disk
  • USB Flash-drive: Pricing upon request
  • First two (2) hours of research included in the report fee charged. Any additional time spent will be billed at $50.00 per hour for preparation, redaction and downloading information.

Any questions should be directed to the records clerk at 410-822-1020. Records are released in accordance with the Maryland Public Information Act. Reports can be released via e-mail, displayed as PDF documents and require Adobe Acrobat Reader for downloading.
